Nipun: Paul Cummins – New Hire on Senior Investment Team

We are delighted to share that Paul Cummins, CFA has joined Nipun Capital as Head of Portfolio Management effective March 10, 2025. In this role, Paul will oversee Nipun’s portfolio management activities as well as provide market and portfolio related insights to Nipun’s investors. He will work closely with the team to deliver on the firm’s strategic priorities and objectives.

Paul is a highly seasoned investment professional with over 30+ years of expertise in asset management for institutional investors. Having known Paul for over two decades, we believe his wealth of knowledge and skillset will be a tremendous added value for Nipun. We are beyond enthusiastic to welcome him as a senior investment member at Nipun, as we continue to provide our clients with the best-in-class team to generate sustainable alpha over the long term.

Prior to joining Nipun, Paul was most recently Managing Director of Public Equities at New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) where he led a 16-person team and over $70B in assets. Before joining NYSTRS in 2009, Paul was a quantitative Portfolio Manager at Barclays Global Investors (BGI)/BlackRock where he worked closely with several members of Nipun’s team. Paul is a CFA charter holder and is based in Albany, New York.
